Ida McKinley Chapter No 178 was granted a Charter by the Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star of the State of Minnesota on May 31, 1905.

From that next day to the present time Ida McKinley Chapter has met in what is now called Albert Pike Masonic Center.

Membership in the Chapter is open to all Master Masons and thier female relatives. The OES is not an auxilliary unit of Freemasonry. It functions as an independent organization, often working hand in hand with Masons.
